About Me
Danae Crume MA, LPC, NCC
I've been through individual and marital counseling and understand that the benefits of the counseling process far outweigh the risks of not doing hard things. I graduated in 2019 with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and hope to pay forward the life experiences, training, and insights I gained through various avenues (school of hard knocks, seminary, mentors, etc.).
I was born and raised in a suburb of Dallas, Texas. I received a Bachelor of Science in Education with a specialization in Mathematics from Baylor University and taught middle school mathematics for six years before moving to Denver in 2010. I started in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Denver Seminary but many life changes happened in 2011-2015 which forced me to take a break from school. I've been married for 14 years and have two children.
When I'm not in the counseling room, I enjoys quality time with my family, hiking, new adventures, cooking, women's ministry, reading, and snuggling under a warm blanket with a cup of hot tea.
Life Verse
Romans 5:3-5
We can make meaning of even the worst circumstances. And through making meaning, we can heal, grow, find hope, and pay forward our learning.
My Approach
Flexible, Friendly, Professional
I work with clients to meet specific needs and long-term challenges.
We find fulfillment and purpose as we start giving back to our community.
The past can impact our present, but it does not determine our future.
Needs are approached from a biopsychosocial-spiritual perspective.
Thoughtfully responding provides better results than emotionally reacting.
The three-leg stool of thinking-feeling-behaving is frequently explored.
